Let’s celebrate culture.
Intentional and inspired, the River District is inclusive by design, a once-in-a-lifetime boost for our economy, and a singular opportunity to create history and redefine our future while embracing our culture, celebrating our resilience, and reconciling our shared past.
New Orleans is rising at the River District. Let’s rise together.
We believe transformative change begins with big ideas, expert execution, teamwork, and intentionality. The River District will be a new New Orleans neighborhood: sustainable and integrated with the surrounding areas, offering the ability to work, play, and stay “on the River.”
Focused on developing a neighborhood for all, plans for The River District include new mixed-use residential and commercial spaces, linking the Warehouse and Lower Garden Districts with the Riverfront and Convention Center.
The neighborhood will include a variety of residential formats including condos and apartments (with affordable and workforce housing), retail space, hotels, restaurants, services, and other amenities. The River District will also feature a variety of entertainment options, including a live music venue, movie theater, and a potential site for the new Civil Rights Museum.
In the development of the River District, we see a vibrant “New” New Orleans neighborhood, one that showcases our unique environment and culture and is welcoming to all.
